OpenAI Appoints Dali Rajic as New Chief Revenue Officer Amid Leadership Changes

OpenAI has appointed Dali Rajic, former president and chief operating officer of Wiz, as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). This decision follows the departure of Denise Dresser, who held the position for nine months.

Rajic’s previous role at Wiz, a cybersecurity firm recently acquired by Google for $32 billion, positions him to bring valuable experience to OpenAI’s revenue operations. His appointment is part of a broader organizational restructuring that includes the exits of Chief Operating Officer Brad Lightcap and Fidji Simo, the CEO of AGI Deployment.

Greg Brockman, OpenAI’s co-founder and president, has assumed a more prominent management role following these departures. In a recent blog post, Brockman highlighted Rajic’s appointment, emphasizing the need for a relentless focus on measurable business impact as the company continues to evolve its AI technologies.

OpenAI reports that its products now serve over one billion weekly active users and two million businesses. Despite this significant growth, the company acknowledges that it has not met all of its revenue targets. To address this, OpenAI has confidentially filed with the SEC in preparation for a potential initial public offering (IPO). However, the timing of this IPO remains uncertain. Additionally, the company recently conducted a $7 billion tender offer, allowing employees to liquidate some of their equity, which may indicate a delay in the public offering.

These leadership changes and strategic moves reflect OpenAI’s commitment to refining its business operations and revenue strategies. As the company continues to expand its AI offerings, the appointment of Rajic as CRO is a strategic step toward achieving its financial objectives and sustaining its growth trajectory.
