Naïve, a startup specializing in automating the foundational tasks of establishing and managing a business, has successfully raised $28.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners. This investment underscores the growing demand for solutions that streamline business operations through artificial intelligence.
Since its inception, Naïve has attracted over 30,000 developer customers, reflecting the industry’s appetite for automation tools that reduce manual workload. The company’s platform enables AI agents to handle various business setup processes, including company incorporation, setting up email accounts, phone numbers, cloud infrastructure, and storage solutions. By providing a unified API, Naïve simplifies these traditionally complex tasks, allowing developers to focus on higher-level strategic initiatives.
Users can leverage Naïve’s infrastructure by supplying AI agents and the necessary token budget. The platform offers prompts compatible with tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex, facilitating seamless integration. While AI handles most setup tasks, users are still required to complete Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) processes and make any necessary payments, ensuring compliance and security.
Beyond initial setup, Naïve’s platform extends to operational aspects such as establishing email inboxes, virtual cards, phone numbers, databases, computing resources, and connections to services like Stripe and QuickBooks. A governance layer allows users to set budgets, restrict agent capabilities, and require human approval for sensitive actions, providing a balance between automation and control.
The platform also offers templates for various business models, including AI-driven SEO, full-stack SaaS applications, recruiting, accounting, customer support, and even mobile emulators for operating smartphone apps on virtual devices. This versatility has led to diverse applications among Naïve’s user base, from AI automation agencies to autonomous rental car services and AI-generated content channels on platforms like TikTok and YouTube.
CEO and co-founder Sean Dorje highlighted the rapid growth of AI automation agencies as a primary use case, noting that many customers are leveraging Naïve’s tools to offer AI services to other small businesses. This trend reflects a broader movement towards leveraging AI to create and manage businesses with minimal human intervention.
To address the potential high costs associated with running AI agents, Naïve plans to utilize part of the new funding to develop infrastructure aimed at enhancing efficiency. This includes building a model router to direct queries to the most suitable model for a given task, a memory system to store and retrieve business context as needed, and an orchestration layer to manage agent workflows effectively.
Naïve’s innovative approach to automating business operations positions it as a significant player in the evolving landscape of AI-driven enterprise solutions. By reducing the manual effort required to set up and run a company, Naïve empowers entrepreneurs and developers to focus on innovation and growth, potentially reshaping how businesses are built and managed in the digital age.
