Previously, these customization features were limited to two American voices, but the update now includes seven American and four British voice options, all of which can be tailored to individual preferences.
The expressiveness setting enables users to modify the emphasis and intonation of Siri’s responses, while the pace control adjusts the speed at which Siri speaks. These enhancements are designed to provide a more personalized and engaging user experience.
It’s important to note that Siri’s voice customization relies on on-device processing, which means the feature is available only on newer Apple devices equipped with sufficient hardware capabilities. Specifically, the customization options are accessible on the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air. Additionally, Macs with an M3 chip or newer and at least 12GB of RAM, as well as M4 iPad Pro models with the same RAM requirement, support these features.
