London-based Inforcer has successfully raised $50 million in a Series C funding round led by Insight Partners. This investment underscores the growing demand for solutions that assist small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in managing their IT infrastructure amidst the complexities introduced by artificial intelligence (AI) and escalating security threats.
Founded in 2023, Inforcer specializes in developing software that enables managed service providers (MSPs) to oversee multiple SMB clients’ Microsoft 365 accounts through a unified platform. The company’s rapid growth is evident, with a 300% year-over-year increase in business. Co-founder and CEO Jamie Daum highlighted that the company’s valuation has doubled between its Series B and Series C rounds, though specific figures were not disclosed.
The swift succession of funding rounds reflects the urgent need to address the evolving landscape of cyber threats and AI advancements. Inforcer has channeled significant resources into product development, introducing features like Shadow AI detection to identify unauthorized AI tool usage on company devices, and a threat detection and response tool designed to mitigate cybersecurity risks in real-time.
Co-founder and Chief Community Officer William Connor emphasized the accelerated nature of modern cyberattacks, noting that they now execute in minutes rather than months. Attackers are leveraging AI to pinpoint vulnerabilities and employing large language models to craft more convincing phishing emails. This evolution presents SMBs with automated, scalable threats that are increasingly challenging to defend against.
Beyond external threats, internal governance of company data and AI usage has become a pressing concern. Inforcer is proactively developing strategies to help organizations manage these internal risks effectively.
With plans to expand further into the U.S. market, Inforcer is also adapting its business model. While the 365 Manager was priced per client, the new threat-detection tool adopts a per-user pricing model, aligning more closely with how MSPs offer these services to their customers. Future products incorporating AI may introduce consumption or token-based pricing structures.
Currently, Inforcer remains focused on the Microsoft suite, recognizing its widespread adoption among SMBs. The company views its offerings as complementary to Microsoft’s, catering to the specific needs of smaller, segmented customers that may not be the primary focus of Microsoft’s enterprise solutions.
Additional investors in this funding round include Dawn Capital and Meritech Capital.
As SMBs increasingly rely on MSPs to navigate the complexities of modern IT environments, Inforcer’s solutions are poised to play a pivotal role in enhancing security and operational efficiency. The substantial investment reflects confidence in Inforcer’s ability to address the unique challenges faced by SMBs in an era dominated by AI and sophisticated cyber threats.
