Apple isn’t slowing down as 2026 comes to a close. With major hardware drops still lined up through December, not to mention software expansions—especially in China—there’s plenty left to follow for Apple fans.
🎯 Big Hardware Drops by Mid-November
Coming November 6 are five new devices spanning $699 to $3,399: the OLED iPad mini with the A20 Pro chip; the M6-equipped iMac starting at $1,499; an M6 14-inch MacBook Pro ($1,999 entry); and Apple’s first touchscreen MacBook Pros—14-inch and 16-inch OLED models priced at $2,899 and $3,399 respectively. Pre-orders are already open, though some configurations ship later depending on color and screen features. This marks Apple’s debut of a clamshell MacBook Pro with direct touch input.
Then on November 13, two devices arrive: the Apple HomeView, a smart display that doubles as a home hub, and the new Apple TV 4K (4th gen). Priced at $299 each, HomeView comes in both tabletop and wall-mounted formats and supports capabilities such as Siri AI, FaceTime, smart-home control, and a variety of display modes. Meanwhile, the updated Apple TV 4K adds Siri AI, 128GB of storage, surround-sound speaker support when paired with HomePod models, and a refreshed remote with Find My functionality.
🌐 Software and Services: AI Expands in China & Holiday Add-Ons
Apple is making headway in China with its AI tools. Developers in China can begin testing Apple Intelligence features starting November 4 via the latest iOS beta, with a full public launch planned alongside iOS 27.3 in December. These tools—powered by Alibaba’s Qwen model—will include features like Writing Tools (text editing and summarization), Visual Intelligence (camera-based analysis), live translation in communications apps, and photo cleanup. Notably, the new Siri AI and other advanced features from WWDC are excluded from this rollout.
Additional updates arriving later in November add new tools for creators: Final Cut Pro is getting MotionVFX content; Pixelmator Pro will see Generate Fill; and Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and Logic Pro are gaining AI assistant features in beta. These upgrades are part of Apple’s focus on refining its workflow software for professionals and content creators heading into the holiday season.
📅 What’s Coming into December & Beyond
The holiday season kicks off with Apple’s Black Friday event starting November 27—a four-day run that in past years has included gift card offers and device discounts.
Also expected in December: broader public rollout of Apple Intelligence features in China via iOS 27.3, covering supported iPhones with other platforms to follow once approved. And Apple’s “Home Collection,” involving smart home accessories like cameras, thermostats, and locks designed with Schneider Electric and LG, will begin launching then—with some items delayed into early 2027.
Stay tuned: EU availability for HomeView and some AI features may be limited due to regional regulatory constraints.
In short, Apple’s 2026 roadmap is far from over. We’ve got hardware, AI expansions, smart home gear, and seasonal deals all converging. It’s a packed schedule that could reshape the buying season—especially in China and among those invested in new MacBook designs.
