Motorola Unveils Buds Ultra 27 & Watch Fit 27 to Solidify Premium Ecosystem

Motorola has added two high-end accessories—Moto Buds Ultra 27 earbuds and Moto Watch Fit 27—to its growing premium portfolio, aligning them with its upcoming Signature 27 flagship phone. Precise release dates and pricing haven’t been announced yet, but both devices are confirmed for a North American launch in the coming months, and they introduce built-in integration with the company’s AI assistant, Motorola Qira.

Moto Buds Ultra 27: All-rounder earbuds packed with pro-grade features

The Buds Ultra 27 represent what Motorola calls its most feature-rich earbuds so far. They offer Bose-tuned active noise cancellation (ANC) and a custom sound profile created with Bose’s SoundDesign input. A standout is the microphone setup: six high-signal-to-noise ratio mics, including two dedicated Voice Pickup Units, optimised for clarity in both music listening and content creation.

In terms of battery, users can expect about 8 hours of playback per charge, with the charging case contributing an additional 37 hours to the total battery life. Features include dual-device connection, audio sharing (either between devices or between sets of buds), automatic pausing when removed, head gestures, live translation, and wear detection. The buds are IP57 rated, come with 11 mm dynamic drivers for enhanced audio, and support Google’s Find My Device networks. They will be available in two colors: Pantone Reflecting Pond (dark blue) and Pantone Temple Gray.

Moto Watch Fit 27: Ultra-long battery & health-centric design

If endurance is a priority, the Watch Fit 27 is built for multi-week use, targeting nearly two weeks of battery life far beyond typical Wear OS rivals. It offers comprehensive health monitoring via a Polar-powered tracking engine that handles sleep, stress, SpO₂, heart rate, calorie burn, inactivity, and automatically detects workouts. Support extends to menstrual cycle tracking, over 100 workout types, step/distance tracking, and dual-frequency GPS for improved accuracy.

The design is square, featuring a rotating crown and a programmable physical button. Robust protection comes from an aluminum frame with IP68 and 5ATM ratings. Display tech includes a 1.85-inch gOLED panel with ultra-slim 2 mm bezels and Gorilla Glass 3, plus an always-on mode. Like the buds, the watch includes Motorola Qira support. Three colorways will be offered: Pantone Stratified Sea, Pantone Pigeon, and Pantone Ballerina.

Both the Buds Ultra 27 and Watch Fit 27 seem tailored to fill in where the high-end Moto Signature 27 phone leaves off—earbuds for immersive audio and voice work, and a health-forward watch built for long battery life instead of flashy features. Their debut strengthens Motorola’s push into more than just phones, creating an end-to-end ecosystem that spans personal audio and wearables.

Analytically, these launches point to Motorola doubling down on holistic hardware experiences. With competition from Apple, Samsung, and Google heating up in wearables and ear-tech, the Buds Ultra 27 and Watch Fit 27 signal Motorola’s shift from just being a phone maker to shaping a premium lifestyle brand. Key things to watch: actual in-hand performance of ANC and mic quality, battery life under real-world use, and how well Qira integrates across devices. If Motorola nails those, this ecosystem could become a serious alternative in the high-end space.
