Google Releases Blueprint-Style Wallpapers for Pixel 11 Series

Google has unveiled a fresh pair of blueprint-style wallpapers for the Pixel 11 lineup, showcasing detailed schematics of the phones’ front and back internals. Shared via Google’s Japan account on X (formerly Twitter), these designs feature finely illustrated components like cameras, cooling chambers, USB-C ports, speakers, camera modules, and batteries. These wallpapers allow users to peel back the device’s appearance and highlight what’s under the hood.

The front-view variant lines everything up with the frame, revealing parts such as the front camera, vapor chamber cooling system, speaker grill, and USB-C port. The back-view wallpaper highlights the camera cluster and internal battery among other components. However, the rear design requires cropping for correct orientation—if displayed on the main screen, buttons may end up misaligned.

More From Google’s Design Traditions

These blueprint wallpapers join a lineage of playful, tech-centric designs from Google. In 2023, teardown imagery from Pixel 7 Pro inspired wallpapers that laid bare internal hardware, and graphical art celebrating 25 years of Google also doubled as wallpaper options.

Beyond aesthetics, the Pixel 11 series has seen other updates. Official cases are now available for pre-order, a buried setting lets users make any ‘Camera Look’ the default appearance, and a new “battery usage summaries” feature is rolling out to Pixel 10 and newer phones.

What this means is that Google isn’t just polishing the hardware with the Pixel 11—it’s also investing in software personalization and user experience. These wallpapers serve not only as style statements but as an invitation to explore what’s inside the device—literally. It’s a small move, yet it underscores how brands are leaning into transparency and visual storytelling to deepen user engagement. Expect even more interactive or tech-inspired wallpapers as companies try to make their hardware feel more personal and expressive.
