Google has acknowledged the problem and provided guidance. Affected users are advised to contact Pixel Customer Support directly, as the resolution depends on each device’s specific condition. However, the proposed solutions may not be ideal for all users. Some have been instructed to perform a factory reset via Fastboot, which results in data loss. Others were directed to install Android 17 QPR1 Beta 3, which did not resolve the issue and left them unable to revert to a stable version without resetting. Additionally, some users have been advised to send their devices in for repair, leading to further inconvenience.
While it’s positive that Google is addressing the bootloop issue, the current fixes may not be satisfactory for everyone. Users should weigh the potential data loss and inconvenience against the benefits of restoring device functionality.
