Samsung’s flagship foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, has dropped $300 from its full price on Amazon — bringing it to $1,599 for a limited time. This marks only the second time it’s ever been discounted this deeply since launch. Previously, the deepest post-launch discount came during Amazon’s Prime Day, when the phone briefly priced at $1,549.
While Samsung’s own site still lists the Fold 8 at its original $1,899 MSRP, the current offer undercuts that by a significant margin, making this one of the strongest savings yet for anyone considering the device. For shoppers who want a similar design with a standard phone silhouette, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is also seeing a $200 discount on Amazon right now.
What this deal delivers
At $1,599, buyers still get all the hallmarks of what makes the Fold 8 stand out: a robust folding display, ample power for gaming and content, and premium build quality. For those still on the fence, this might make the device significantly more tempting — particularly since price has been a sticking point for many foldable phones.
At full MSRP, the Fold 8 competes in a premium segment that few phones enter. With this Amazon price slash, you’re getting one of the most advanced foldables Samsung has released — and likely one of the best in Android right now — for a much more approachable price than when it first launched.
However, it’s worth considering that rock-bottom deals may be coming soon. Black Friday and holiday sales historically bring additional markdowns on high-end phones. If you can wait, you might see this price pushed even lower.
What to watch:
- Stock levels and color options may vary fast at this price.
- Check both Amazon and Samsung.com — Samsung could respond with matching discounts.
- Other foldables in Samsung’s lineup might get pushed down in price too, especially with Samsung’s Ultra model already seeing reductions.
Bottom line: If you’ve been eyeing a premium foldable phone without wanting to drop a full MSRP, now is a strong time to pull the trigger. With a $300 discount, Amazon makes the Galaxy Z Fold 8 far more accessible, and it just might be the best deal we’ll see before the next wave of phone launches.
