ElevenLabs has rolled out a new feature allowing creators to publish music produced via its ElevenMusic AI platform directly onto SoundCloud. This integration simplifies sharing AI-generated tracks by cutting out manual file handling.
What’s New
The update grants SoundCloud users seamless access to their ElevenMusic creations without downloading and re-uploading audio files. For creators subscribed to SoundCloud Artist Pro, there’s an added perk: three months of ElevenMusic Pro for free. With that plan, users gain the ability to generate up to 1,000 songs, split song stems as many as 500 times, and develop up to five custom styles or vocal variations each month.
Background & Industry Moves
ElevenLabs launched its music generation model in 2025 and followed up in April 2026 with a consumer-facing app that lets users make songs using text prompts. A subsequent release allowed switching genres mid-track and handling more sophisticated vocals. To date, more than 25 million tracks have been produced using these tools.
SoundCloud has been exploring AI features independently too. Notably, it recently added a partnership with Moises to enable exporting and importing tracks to and from SoundCloud. It also maintains integrations with platforms like Google Flow Music and the remix service Hook.
Regulation & Labeling Landscape
While ElevenLabs is pushing toward creative openness, other streaming platforms are emphasizing transparency around AI content. Deezer is introducing a toggle to filter out AI-generated music. Bandcamp has banned AI tracks altogether. Spotify and YouTube are navigating a more cautious path, implementing labeling for this kind of content.
Strategic Partnerships
ElevenLabs has also struck a deal with Spotify, which allows creators to use its AI audio models to generate narration for audiobooks published on the platform. Spotify has partnered with labels to provide tools for remixing tracks but has not yet announced collaborations involving models like those from ElevenLabs.
By letting ElevenMusic creations go live directly on SoundCloud, artists now have a more streamlined route to reaching audiences beyond ElevenLabs. This could accelerate adoption of AI-generated music and reshape how creators distribute content. It’s essential to keep an eye on how platforms evolve their labeling policies, the reactions from artists and listeners, and how new standards for AI content are developed in music streaming.
