Apple has officially dropped the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max from its product lineup, immediately withdrawing both models from its online store. The move came moments after unveiling the next generation of Pro phones on September 9, 2026. With the latest models now sold out, Apple’s Pro range shifts entirely to the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
What We Know About the Discontinued Models
Both the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max were launched in September 2025 during Apple’s “Awe dropping” event, and shipped later that month. They were built with the A19 Pro chip and featured a three-camera rear setup—each lens offering 48 megapixels, including a telephoto lens that supports 4× optical and up to 8× optical-equivalent zoom.
