Apple Arcade is set to enhance its puzzle game offerings with the addition of two new titles, “Block Blast!+” and “Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+,” both launching on September 3.
“Block Blast!+” is an upgraded version of the popular block-clearing puzzle game “Block Blast.” In this game, players strategically place block shapes on a grid to complete full rows and columns, aiming for high-scoring combos. The Apple Arcade edition removes the advertisements present in the original free-to-play version, providing a seamless gaming experience.
“Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+” builds upon the acclaimed “Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles,” which received the 2025 App Store Award for Cultural Impact. This game invites players to piece together vintage-style nature illustrations while learning about the depicted animals. Notably, it includes a text-based alternative to visual puzzles, catering to players with visual or cognitive impairments.
These additions join a robust lineup of puzzle games on Apple Arcade, such as “Grindstone,” a dungeon-crawling combat puzzler; “Flow Free+,” a pipe-connecting puzzle game; and “Crossword Jam+,” a word search title. Recent additions like “Everyday Puzzles: Mini Games+” and “Water Sort Puzzle: Get Color+” further diversify the platform’s puzzle offerings.
In addition to new game releases, existing Apple Arcade titles are receiving content updates this month. On August 12, “puffies.” will introduce 28 new packs, including collections themed around Oden Tomodachi and The Knights. Starting August 20, “Simon’s Cat – Blast Time” will roll out 200 new levels, with 50 levels released weekly over a month. On August 26, “stitch.” will reach a milestone of 800 unique hoops, commemorated with a special hoop and a new achievement.
Looking ahead to September 3, Apple Arcade subscribers can anticipate more than just the two new puzzle games. “NFL Retro Bowl ’27” will debut its Gauntlet Mode, challenging players to achieve consecutive wins with limited resources, featuring real NFL players and additional perks as they progress. “Coloring Games for Families+” will launch with over 3,000 activities suitable for all ages, and “Let’s Play! Oink Games+” will bring nine of the developer’s board games to the platform, supporting solo play, offline multiplayer, and online matches.
Apple Arcade continues to expand its diverse game library, offering subscribers a wide range of ad-free and in-app purchase-free games across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. The addition of these new titles and updates underscores Apple’s commitment to providing engaging and accessible gaming experiences for all users.
