Foldable iPhone Ultra’s Battery Capacity Allegedly Revealed

Recent reports suggest that Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone, potentially named the ‘iPhone Ultra,’ may feature a dual-cell battery design with a combined capacity between 4,800mAh and 5,000mAh. This information comes from a Chinese leaker who claims that Apple’s battery supplier has registered two new cells with rated capacities of 1,921mAh and 2,962mAh, totaling 4,883mAh.

In comparison, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is equipped with a 5,015mAh battery, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 offers a 4,400mAh capacity. Apple’s current flagship, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, reportedly houses a 5,567mAh battery. These figures indicate that the foldable iPhone’s battery capacity would be competitive within the market.

Earlier rumors had suggested that Apple was testing larger batteries ranging from 5,400mAh to 5,800mAh for its foldable device. However, these reports may have referred to early engineering prototypes, and the design could have been adjusted since then.

Apple is reportedly focusing on enhancing power efficiency while reducing the size of key components in its foldable iPhone. Battery life is a significant priority for the company, with plans to use high-density battery cells to achieve superior performance.

The foldable iPhone is expected to feature a 7.8-inch inner display and a 5.5-inch cover display.
