visionOS 27.2 Arrives — Mostly Bug Fixes, Minor Tweaks

On October 26, 2026, Apple pushed out visionOS 27.2. It’s a lightweight update focused largely on stability, fixes, and underlying improvements—not new features or major changes for Vision Pro users.

What’s in visionOS 27.2

Ahead of any visible changes, the update fixes a range of bugs to improve day-to-day usage. Apple hasn’t added platform-specific features or major enhancements in this release—it’s mainly about smoothing over issues identified in earlier versions of visionOS. For users who’ve noticed glitches or performance jitter, those should see improvement after installing.

Two small but useful additions are included. First, language support for Siri AI expands: French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish are now supported. Second, European Union users will now receive the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) privacy prompt at least once per year.

No “visionOS 27.1,” but you weren’t asleep

Even though the update jumps from 27.0 to 27.2, nothing was skipped unintentionally—an internal version 27.1 did exist, but it was preserved for the “iPhone Duo,” and not rolled out broadly. The general base skipped over 27.1 and went straight to 27.2.

To get visionOS 27.2, Mac users with Vision Pro devices will receive it automatically over the air if automatic updates are enabled. Otherwise, the update can be manually applied via Settings → General → Software Update.

In short: no flashy new tools, no dramatic UI overhaul—just fixes, polish, and slight usability tweaks. If your Vision Pro has been running into minor issues, this update should help. But if you were hoping for exciting new features, this isn’t the release that delivers them.

Why it matters: With every visionOS release since 26, there’s been an expectation for Vision Pro to catch up feature-wise, especially given Apple’s broader AI and device efforts. 27.2 instead reinforces the idea that Vision Pro is still being tuned rather than aggressively pushed into new territory. What to watch next: whether the next major version finally introduces breakthrough or platform-defining features, versus incremental refinements.
