Outlook for Mac Embraces Liquid Glass Design in Latest Update

Microsoft has rolled out a significant update for Outlook on Mac, introducing an app-wide integration of Apple’s Liquid Glass design language. This enhancement aims to provide a more cohesive and native experience for macOS users.

The update focuses on three key areas:

Enhanced Visual Elements

The primary “New” button has been redesigned to feature smoother motion and Liquid Glass effects, offering a more dynamic user interaction.

Elevated User Interface Controls

The metaOS and Profile UI controls now boast increased elevation and Liquid Glass background effects, contributing to a more immersive interface.

Refined Application Aesthetics

Overall app elements, including windows and buttons, have been updated with increased radii, aligning with the design principles of macOS 26 (Tahoe) and providing a familiar feel to users.

In addition to the visual overhaul, Outlook for Mac now supports the import of PST files, simplifying the process of transferring emails, calendars, contacts, and other mailbox data.

Microsoft has also released updates for Word and PowerPoint on Mac, focusing on bug fixes and performance improvements. These updates are available for download on the App Store.

By embracing the Liquid Glass design language, Microsoft demonstrates its commitment to delivering a seamless and native experience for Mac users. This update not only enhances the visual appeal of Outlook but also improves functionality, reflecting a thoughtful integration with the macOS ecosystem.
