OnePlus to Cease Operations in US and Europe, Realme Exits China

OnePlus is set to cease operations in the United States and Europe, with the process expected to begin as early as this week. This development is part of a broader restructuring within its parent company, Oppo. While OnePlus will continue its activities in China, plans are in place to withdraw from the Indian market by 2027.

In addition to OnePlus’s strategic shifts, Realme, another brand under the Oppo umbrella, will exit the Chinese market. Moving forward, Oppo intends to strengthen its presence in central Europe, while Realme will concentrate on the Nordic region.

These changes underscore Oppo’s efforts to streamline its brand portfolio and focus on specific markets. For consumers in the affected regions, this means a transition period as they adapt to the evolving smartphone landscape. It will be important to monitor how Oppo and its subsidiaries manage this restructuring and how it impacts their global market share.
