iOS 27 Unveils Fresh Hermès MagSafe Wallet Designs & Unique Animation

iOS 27 is introducing a major refresh for Hermès MagSafe wallets. New Wallet Connect code unearthed just ahead of its release candidate reveals expanded style offerings and distinct animations that elevate the experience beyond the standard Apple accessory interaction.

Expanded Hermès Designs

The upcoming iOS 27 update adds several designs to the Hermès MagSafe wallet lineup. Among them are leather card holders with bandana prints offered in purple, brown, and orange. There are also tartan-stitched options in purple and brown, classic leather versions in navy and burgundy, and even a crocodile-embossed variant. These join existing Hermès styles like the silk Bandana Eperon d’Or, Jean patch, and Lad calfskin pieces. Pricing currently ranges from about $510 for silk styles up to $1,025 for premium designs like Lad.

Find My Support & Custom Animation

Alongside new visuals, Hermès MagSafe wallets will gain compatibility with Find My, letting users track their wallet in the Find My app and receive alerts if it’s left behind. This aligns Hermès’ offerings more closely with Apple’s own FineWoven MagSafe wallet, which already includes Find My functionality.

Another update introduces a dedicated attachment animation for Hermès accessories. When users attach a Hermès MagSafe wallet, they’ll see a unique animation—separate from the standard accessory animation Apple uses for its own wallets. This animation is built into the release candidate version of iOS 27.

How Hermès Cards Up Against Apple’s Own Wallet

Currently, Hermès offers around six major MagSafe wallet designs for sale—spanning silk, calfskin leather, and other premium finishes—with prices ranging from $510 to over $1,000 depending on materials and design. By contrast, Apple’s FineWoven wallet remains the more budget-friendly MagSafe option, priced around $59. Apple has recently introduced new color options for it, but its overall design has been largely unchanged since its FineWoven launch in 2020.

These changes represent one of the more notable style-first upgrades coming in iOS 27. Hermès’ inclusion of Find My and custom animation shows Apple pushing the aesthetic and functional boundaries of third-party MagSafe accessories. For users who want both luxury and tech smarts, these updates are a significant step. What’s next: seeing how Apple will balance premium accessories with its own wallet line, and whether Find My support and animations like these become standard for all MagSafe wallets.
