Google is bringing its retail presence to Texas again with the grand opening of its newest store in Houston. Located in The Galleria mall at 5085 Westheimer Rd, this will be the company’s 11th store in the U.S. and 12th globally. The launch date is set for Friday, November 6, 2026. This marks Houston as the second city in Texas to host a store, following the debut of its Austin location last year.
What Requires Visiting the New Store
The Google Store Houston Galleria will carry the full lineup of Pixel phones, latest watches, headphones, and smart home gear—think Nest security cameras and other connected devices. It will also offer practical services including store pick-ups for online purchases, in-person phone repairs, and tech support. Additionally, customers can take advantage of on-site events and “shopping and setup” appointments to help personalize devices on the spot.
Store Details & Context
Located in what’s considered Texas’ largest shopping destination, The Galleria store will keep the following hours: Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday extended to 9 p.m., and Sunday starting at 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. It joins Google’s expanding brick-and-mortar footprint that includes locations in New York City (Chelsea and Williamsburg), multiple California stores (Mountain View, Santa Monica, Fashion Valley), plus others in Illinois, Massachusetts, Florida, Washington, D.C., and abroad in Tokyo.
Houston Galleria becomes Google’s 12th store overall—11 of which are in the U.S.—bringing the company deeper into physical retail. As Google augments its hardware ecosystem of Pixel and Nest devices, these stores serve as hubs for sales, support, and experiential engagement.
Why this matters: Building out physical stores lets Google engage customers directly, showing off hardware ecosystems in person and offering services like repairs and support that aren’t as seamless online. The Houston location not only strengthens presence in Texas—it enters a top-tier retail environment that could become a major touchpoint for brand loyalty and local events. Keep an eye on how Google integrates its ecosystem with service and experience in this space, especially as retail becomes part showroom, part support center in tech’s evolving landscape.
