Anthropic’s Claude, another AI tool, accounted for $13,160 across 37 transactions, positioning it as a distant second in terms of congressional AI adoption. Notably, Democratic offices led the charge in AI investments, spending $54,165—three times the $15,782 spent by their Republican counterparts.
It’s important to note that these figures pertain solely to paid accounts and do not encompass AI tools accessed through free accounts or those bundled within broader software contracts. This suggests that the actual utilization of AI tools like ChatGPT within Congress may be even more extensive than the records indicate.
