Apple Watch users have a new opportunity to stay active with the Global Running Day Challenge, available today, June 3. To participate, users need to complete a running workout of at least 5 kilometers (3.1 miles). Successfully finishing this challenge will unlock a digital trophy and exclusive stickers in the Fitness app.
The stickers feature four animated designs: a runner in a dinosaur costume, two people running together, a person running with their dog, and a colorful version of the 2026 Global Running Day Challenge award.
In addition to the challenge, Apple Fitness+ has introduced a new treadmill workout this month. This session includes six 30-second high-intensity intervals and is led by trainer Sherica Holman, accompanied by Danielle Burnett, founder of the ‘Big Girls Who Run’ club and a recognized athlete on Strava.
Apple Fitness+ is available for $9.99 per month or $79.99 annually and is also included in the Apple One Premier bundle.
These initiatives highlight Apple’s commitment to promoting fitness and community engagement through its devices and services. The Global Running Day Challenge and the new Fitness+ workout provide users with fresh incentives to maintain an active lifestyle.
