Apple Unveils Free Unified Business Management Platform Globally
Apple has introduced a comprehensive business management platform, now available for free worldwide. This new solution consolidates previous services into a single, streamlined application, enabling businesses to efficiently manage device setups, employee access, and customer communications from one centralized interface.
Integrated Device and Employee Management
The platform merges Apple’s former Essentials, Manager, and Connect tools into a unified portal. Businesses can utilize built-in mobile device management features to configure equipment straight out of the box. The Blueprints feature allows companies to pre-set laptops and phones with specific security protocols and work applications before distributing them to employees.
This configuration ensures a clear separation between personal and corporate data on the same device, eliminating the need for employees to carry multiple phones. The application is compatible with devices running iOS 15 or macOS 12 and later versions, and it fully supports the Vision Pro headset for spatial computing tasks.
Enhanced Employee Directory and Support Features
The updated version 2.0 introduces a comprehensive directory function, simplifying the process for staff to locate and communicate with colleagues directly through the platform. Employees can also download approved work applications or submit support tickets for device issues within the app.
The service integrates standard calendar and email tools linked to custom company domains. Users can automate account setups by connecting the system with external identity providers such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Entra ID.
Brand Management and Targeted Advertising
Companies can now control how their brand appears across various Apple services. The platform enables businesses to create custom brand profiles that appear in Safari searches and Siri suggestions. Additionally, businesses can design customized place cards in Apple Maps with specific store details.
Starting this summer, Apple plans to offer businesses the option to purchase local search advertisements in Maps, initially launching in the USA and Canada. While the core business platform is free in over 200 countries, businesses can opt for additional services such as extra iCloud storage or AppleCare+ plans, starting at $6.99 per month per device.
