The company behind wireless Android Auto adapters has launched a new product that shifts its focus: the “AAWireless Charge.” This isn’t another wireless adapter—it’s a 25W Qi2-enabled car charger designed for fast wireless charging in vehicles. It supports MagSafe, PixelSnap, and broader Qi2 standards.
Key Features and Design
The “AAWireless Charge” is built for power and cooling. It delivers up to 25W of wireless charging on phones that can handle those speeds. A built-in fan provides active cooling to keep things from overheating—AAWireless claims the fan runs quietly. Mounting options include an air vent clip and an adhesive base. For devices without built-in magnetic alignment, two magnetic ring adapters are in the box.
Power Source and Availability
For best performance, the charger should be connected to a 12V outlet in your car using the included power brick. USB-C ports can work too, if they supply enough power. The MSRP is set at $50. The product is available directly from AAWireless’s website and, as of November 5, on Amazon in the U.S.
Android Auto Clarification
Despite AAWireless’s reputation for wireless Android Auto adapters, this new charger does *not* include any wireless Android Auto features. The company makes that distinction clear—while you could use this charger alongside one of its wireless adapters while driving, they are separate devices serving different purposes.
This product marks AAWireless’s first foray beyond adapters, embracing wireless charging in the car with Qi2. While Qi2 is still immature in adoption, brands like PixelSnap and MagSafe are showing signs of life in the wireless charging ecosystem, suggesting a broader migration towards magnetically aligned charging accessories. In a car—where heat and usability matter—active cooling and strong mounting options become key differentiators.
