Apple Unveils #WWDC26 Hashmoji on X Ahead of Anticipated Keynote
In the lead-up to its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple has introduced a custom hashmoji on X (formerly Twitter) for the #WWDC26 hashtag. This initiative, a tradition in recent years, enhances user engagement by adding a distinctive icon to posts that include the event’s official hashtag.
Custom WWDC26 Icon Now Live
As observed by tech enthusiast Aaron Perris, X users can now incorporate the #WWDC26 hashtag into their posts to automatically display the new hashmoji. This year’s design features a metallic, reflective Apple logo with a chromatic aberration effect, aligning with the anticipated visual updates for Siri in the forthcoming iOS 27.
The hashmoji’s debut coincided with a teaser from Greg Joz Joswiak, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. Joswiak’s post on X hinted at the upcoming event with the message:
> All systems glow for a great #WWDC26 next week!
Accompanying this teaser, Apple released a Get ready for WWDC26 video on YouTube and curated an Apple Music playlist to build anticipation for the event.
