Walmart Introduces Affordable Onn Outdoor Camera with Google Home Integration
Walmart has expanded its Onn product line by introducing the Onn Outdoor Camera Plug-in, a wired outdoor security camera priced at $34.87. This new addition is part of Google’s Gemini built-in program, ensuring seamless integration with the Google Home ecosystem.
The Onn Outdoor Camera features a straightforward design with a flexible arm, allowing for easy positioning. It offers full-color night vision and includes built-in spotlights to enhance visibility in low-light conditions. The camera connects via a built-in cable that attaches to a longer USB-C cable, maintaining its weatherproof integrity—a design reminiscent of certain Wyze outdoor cameras.
With 1080p resolution, the camera integrates directly with the Google Home app, facilitating setup and management. Users can access cloud storage through Google Home Premium, which is essential for features beyond live viewing, as the camera lacks local storage. Subscribing to Google Home Premium unlocks cloud-based event recording, Gemini-powered video descriptions, and advanced camera event automations. Without a subscription, users receive three hours of snapshot history, which is automatically deleted after recording.
