Tubi Collaborates with TikTok Stars for Exclusive Original Series with Creatorverse Incubator Initiative

Tubi Partners with TikTok Stars to Launch Exclusive Original Content

In a strategic move to captivate younger audiences, Fox-owned streaming service Tubi has unveiled the Creatorverse Incubator, a collaborative initiative with TikTok. This program is designed to empower content creators by providing promotional support and potential funding to develop original series exclusively for Tubi. This approach mirrors similar strategies by other streaming platforms, such as Peacock, which previously enlisted TikTok creators to produce original content, highlighting a growing trend of integrating social media influencers into mainstream media.

The Creatorverse Incubator aims to enrich Tubi’s existing content library, which currently boasts over 100 million monthly active users. By featuring original series from popular TikTok personalities, Tubi seeks to attract new viewers eager to engage with content from their favorite creators. Selected participants will have the creative freedom to produce both scripted and unscripted series across various genres, with Tubi providing the necessary resources to bring these projects to fruition. The inaugural group of creators is expected to be announced later this summer.

This initiative builds upon Tubi’s ongoing efforts to collaborate with digital influencers. Approximately ten months ago, Tubi launched a creators program that introduced content from renowned YouTubers, including Mythical Entertainment, to its platform. Currently, Tubi offers 16,000 episodes from over 200 creators, with recent additions like Terri Joe: Missionary in Miami, featuring popular TikTok characters Terri Joe and Amethyst Jade.

Beyond the Creatorverse Incubator, Tubi has implemented other creator-focused initiatives. The platform partnered with Kickstarter to showcase crowdfunded films and introduced Stubios, a program designed to assist aspiring filmmakers in presenting their original work. These efforts underscore Tubi’s commitment to fostering a diverse range of content and supporting emerging talent in the digital space.

Unlike other major streaming platforms, Tubi’s proactive engagement with online personalities distinguishes it from competitors that often adopt more traditional marketing and partnership strategies. While platforms like HBO Max, Disney+, and Netflix typically collaborate with influencers to generate buzz around new releases through exclusive events and early screenings, Tubi’s emphasis on influencer-driven content creation sets it apart in the evolving streaming landscape.
