Peacock Increases Subscription Prices Across All Plans

Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service, has announced a price increase for all its subscription tiers. The ad-supported ‘Select’ plan will rise from $7.99 to $8.99 per month. The ‘Premium’ tier, also ad-supported, will increase from $10.99 to $12.99 monthly. The ad-free ‘Premium Plus’ plan will see a hike from $16.99 to $19.99 per month.

These new rates take effect on August 18 for new and returning subscribers. Existing subscribers will encounter the updated prices on their billing cycle following September 17. Annual subscribers and those with active promotional offers will maintain their current rates until their plans or promotions conclude.

Peacock has recently introduced features like an AI-powered ‘Bravoverse’ vertical-video feed, showcasing clips from franchises such as ‘The Real Housewives’ and ‘Vanderpump Rules.’ Additionally, the service plans to offer live games in a vertical format optimized for mobile viewing through real-time AI-driven cropping.

In July 2026, Peacock reported its first profitable quarter, with subscriber numbers reaching 48 million. This growth was attributed to events like the NBA playoffs, FIFA World Cup, and the reality show ‘Love Island.’

Price adjustments are becoming common in the streaming industry. For instance, in May 2026, SpaceX’s Starlink increased its monthly fees across various plans, with the Residential 100 Mbps plan in Australia rising from A$69 to A$75. Similarly, Amazon Prime Video offers its service as part of the full Amazon Prime membership for $14.99/month or $139/year, or separately for $8.99/month, with an additional $4.99/month required for an ad-free experience.

As the streaming landscape evolves, subscribers should anticipate periodic price changes as platforms invest in content and technology to enhance user experience.
