OWC is rolling out its newest Thunderbolt 5 Dock designed to simplify display connectivity for creatives and business users. Priced around $349.99, this dock lets users hook up two HDMI displays without needing extra adapters. It’s built to work with both Macs and PCs.
Sharp Display Options and Broad Compatibility
The dock includes dual HDMI 2.1 ports capable of driving two displays at up to 4K with 240Hz refresh rate or pushing a single 8K screen at 60Hz via Display Stream Compression (DSC). For users who need a third monitor, there’s an additional downstream Thunderbolt or USB-C connection—the actual setup you’ll get depends on your computer’s display output capabilities.
Power, Ports, and Peripherals All In One Device
Beyond display support, this dock delivers up to 140W of power over its Thunderbolt 5 connection to charge laptops. There’s also a front USB-C port that offers up to 30W for phones and tablets. Networking is handled via a 2.5Gb Ethernet port, while media transfers get a boost from UHS-II SD and microSD card slots.
The downstream Thunderbolt 5 port is meant for external drives, RAID arrays, and other high-bandwidth peripherals. OWC confirms support for Thunderbolt 5, 4, and 3, as well as USB4 and USB-C devices. For macOS users, the dock includes a driver to enable Apple’s legacy USB SuperDrive. SD card reader functionality is enhanced with special software that integrates with OWC’s Atlas cards.
This versatile dock can be laid flat or stood up vertically, adapting to different workspace setups. OWC is also bundling their Dock Ejector tool, which lets you unmount all connected storage simultaneously.

Alongside the dock, OWC is releasing a 1.5-meter Thunderbolt 5-capable cable. It delivers bidirectional data speeds up to 80Gbps and can handle power delivery up to 240W on compatible setups. The cable launches in mid-October, priced around $58.99.
The TB5 dual-HDMI dock is slated to hit the market in early November, with the retail price confirmed at $349.99.
