Microsoft’s upcoming Surface Pro, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, has surfaced in new leaks, indicating a release date of June 16, 2026. The device maintains the familiar 13-inch tablet form factor with an OLED display and integrated kickstand, but notably omits the previous blue color option.
According to WinFuture, the Surface Pro will feature a 12-core Snapdragon X2 Elite chip, support up to 32GB of RAM, and offer user-replaceable SSDs with capacities up to 1TB. Battery life is expected to see a slight improvement, with estimates of up to 15.5 hours of video playback.
The device will continue to support the “Flex” keyboard, which functions both docked and wirelessly, providing versatility for users.
As reported by 9to5Google, this release follows Microsoft’s recent announcement of the Surface Laptop Ultra, which utilizes NVIDIA’s Arm-based RTX Spark platform, signaling the company’s commitment to expanding its Arm-based device lineup.
With the Surface Pro’s anticipated launch, Microsoft appears to be reinforcing its position in the Arm-based PC market, offering consumers enhanced performance and flexibility. The inclusion of user-replaceable SSDs is a welcome feature, catering to users who prioritize upgradeability and extended device longevity.
