The video features a user instructing Siri to remember a book he is viewing, with Siri responding that the user’s world becomes savable through Visual Intelligence, allowing items of interest to be saved for later.
In the demonstration, the AirPods closely resemble the current AirPods Pro design, with the notable exception of slightly thicker stems, presumably to accommodate the camera hardware. The cameras themselves are not visible in the footage.
Earlier reports indicated that Apple is developing camera-equipped AirPods under the codename B790, with a potential release as early as this year. Additionally, references to B790 and an ‘image stream’ were discovered in the macOS 26.7 RC code, further supporting the existence of this project.
Interestingly, these AirPods are distinct from another camera-integrated model, codenamed B798, which is anticipated for a 2027 release.
Given the inclusion of this demonstration in the macOS 26.7 RC, it is highly probable that Apple will officially announce these camera-equipped AirPods during the upcoming iPhone event next month.
