Apple’s latest iOS 27 beta introduces significant enhancements to Siri’s voice customization capabilities. Previously, users could adjust the pace and expressivity of only two American-accented Siri voices. The new beta expands these options to include all American and British-accented voices, totaling eleven customizable voices.
Users can now fine-tune Siri’s speech by navigating to Settings > Siri > Voice and adjusting the Pace and Expressivity sliders, each offering five levels. This update provides a more personalized and engaging interaction with Siri.
However, these advanced features require recent hardware. Compatible devices include the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Air, iPad Pro (M4) and newer, and Macs with M3 chips or later, equipped with at least 12 GB of RAM. Older devices will continue to use previous voice synthesis models.
