Google Home Speaker’s ‘Jade’ Variant Faces Shipping Delays

Google’s latest smart speaker, the Google Home Speaker, has been well-received since its launch. However, customers seeking the ‘Jade’ green variant are encountering unexpected shipping delays.

While other color options like ‘Berry,’ ‘Porcelain,’ and ‘Hazel’ are shipping promptly with estimated delivery dates between June 30 and July 1, the ‘Jade’ model’s availability has been pushed back. Orders placed through the Google Store now show delivery dates extending into early to mid-August. Similarly, major retailer Best Buy lists the ‘Jade’ variant as out of stock.

Despite these delays, alternative purchasing options remain. Both Walmart and Target currently have the ‘Jade’ Google Home Speaker in stock and ready for immediate shipping. Notably, Walmart reports low stock levels, indicating that availability may be limited.

The Google Home Speaker, introduced in August 2025, is the company’s first device built with the Gemini for Home voice assistant. It features uniform 360-degree sound, a 58 mm driver, and 2.5x stronger bass compared to the Nest Mini. The device also includes three far-field microphones, a light ring at the base, and capacitive touch areas on the top surface.

Given the popularity of the ‘Jade’ variant, it’s advisable for interested customers to act swiftly. Exploring alternative retailers may provide a timely solution for those eager to acquire this specific color option without the extended wait.
