Apple’s Siri AI Settlement Payments Delayed Until 2027

Apple’s agreement to pay $250 million to settle a U.S. class action lawsuit concerning the delayed launch of Siri AI has encountered further delays. Eligible iPhone users, who were initially informed they could receive up to $95 each, will now have to wait longer for their compensation.

In May 2026, Apple agreed to the settlement, which received preliminary approval in July. However, a recent court document indicates that the final approval hearing is scheduled for February 24, 2027. Consequently, payments to eligible customers are not expected to commence until several months after this date.

As of now, no action is required from customers. The settlement website, which will provide a claims form, has yet to go live. Further updates will be provided as they become available.

This delay underscores the complexities involved in class action settlements, especially those involving large corporations and substantial sums. For consumers, it serves as a reminder of the often protracted nature of legal proceedings and the importance of staying informed about the status of such settlements.
