Apple is poised to introduce its next-generation M6 chip this fall. However, recent reports suggest that this new processor may not be incorporated into several anticipated products.
According to industry insights, Apple plans to release only the base M6 chip, foregoing the development of M6 Pro and M6 Max variants. This strategic decision is reportedly due to the company’s accelerated focus on the M7 chip series, which is designed to deliver significant advancements in on-device AI processing.
The primary product expected to feature the M6 chip is a new base model MacBook Pro, which will retain the current industrial design. This move indicates that the M6 chip’s integration may be limited to select devices.
