Apple TV is releasing a new Peanuts special titled Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy, which will premiere on Friday, November 13. The story follows Snoopy as he wakes up to find he’s landed on Santa’s naughty list, despite the Peanuts gang trying their best to stay on the nice list. With just 12 days until Christmas, Snoopy is determined to make amends and salvage the holiday spirit.
The special features original songs by John Legend, Journey trombonist Kamasi Washington collaborating with soul singer Leon Bridges, and Reykjavík-born artist Laufey, giving the holiday storyline a fresh musical twist.
In a generous move, Apple TV will make two of the classic Peanuts holiday specials available to stream for free on select dates. A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving will be available November 14 and 15, while A Charlie Brown Christmas will be free December 12 and 13. These offerings won’t require an Apple TV+ subscription.
Meanwhile, Apple TV+ maintains exclusive streaming rights to a broad range of Peanuts titles, including classics and new content such as Snoopy in Space, The Snoopy Show, It’s the Small Things, Charlie Brown, and Lucy’s School.
As of now, Apple TV+ is priced at $14.99 per month and is accessible in over 100 countries and regions.
Why it matters: With holiday programming increasingly driving viewer engagement, Apple’s holiday strategy strengthens its streaming content slate just as seasonal demand spikes. By blending nostalgia—offering beloved classics for free—with new music and storytelling, Apple is positioning Peanuts as a centerpiece of its winter lineup. It’s a reminder that exclusives and nostalgia remain powerful tools for streaming platforms. What to watch for next: viewer reception, whether these specials drive new subscriptions, and how Apple continues to leverage its Peanuts library during key windows.
