Apple Set to Reveal Three New Devices Tomorrow

Apple is gearing up to make a trio of product announcements tomorrow, October 13, with its “Welcome Home” event centered around smart home innovation. The company is expected to introduce the HomeView smart home hub, the HomePod mini 2, and an upgraded Apple TV 4K. The event begins at roughly 9 a.m. ET through press releases and a special experience in New York where select media and creators will get hands-on time with the new hardware.

What’s Coming: HomeView, HomePod mini 2 & Apple TV 4K

The biggest newcomer is HomeView, a smart home hub built with Apple’s AI-powered ambitions in mind. The device will come in two designs: a tabletop model with a metal speaker base, and a wall-mounted version featuring a flat, square plate. Each model is expected to feature a 6-inch square screen, run on Apple’s A18 chip, and support multi-user functionality for household use. Siri will be a standout feature. The new hub may run on a fresh OS, likely called “homeOS,” complete with clock faces, widgets, and various built-in Apple apps but no third-party App Store.

In terms of design variety, the tabletop HomeView will be sold in Gray, Silver, Starlight, and Rose finishes, while the wall-mounted version will be offered in just Gray and Silver. Also revealed is a new “Apple Home Collection” of accessories—devices like smart doorbells, locks, thermostats, sensors, indoor and outdoor cameras, and floodlight cameras—made in collaboration with third-party brands like LG and Schneider Electric.

The HomePod mini 2 is expected to see its first major chip upgrade since its original launch. Leaks suggest it will adopt the S10 chip from the Apple Watch Series 10, replacing the older S5, and add more color options including shades such as pink and green.

Meanwhile, the next Apple TV 4K is rumored to push performance forward with an A19 chip, updated Siri Remote equipped with a speaker to help track it down, and enhanced wireless networking courtesy of an Apple-designed N1 chip and Wi-Fi 7 support. Siri AI is also expected to be deeply integrated.

Release Timelines & What to Watch

Sources indicate the HomePod mini 2 and Apple TV 4K will hit the market on Friday, October 30. The HomeView smart hub, however, won’t launch until mid-November.

Tomorrow’s event signals Apple’s renewed focus on the smart home, positioning Siri and Apple Intelligence as central pillars of its ecosystem. With HomeView, users may gain a new kind of central hub that handles everything from security cameras and doorbells to calendars and FaceTime. At the same time, updates to its living-room and speaker hardware suggest Apple wants to bring its more powerful AI capabilities to familiar spaces.

Analytical Take:This launch marks more than just new devices—it shows Apple doubling down on integrating AI, smart home controls, and seamless connectivity across the home. The lack of third-party apps for HomeView suggests Apple is prioritizing curation and control. The October 30 timing for some devices gives consumers a clear update cycle, while HomeView’s mid-November arrival suggests more polish or supply constraints. Key to watch will be how well Siri AI performs in real-world scenarios—guarding privacy, response speed, and integration will likely decide whether these devices raise the bar or are neat side-grades.
