Apple’s big September event is over, but the company isn’t done for the year yet. Recent leaks and credible rumors suggest eight more products are on deck before the calendar flips to 2027, spanning iPads, Macs, home devices, and audio gear. A few will arrive soon—others are better bets for early next year.
What’s Still to Come
iPad mini: Expect a new compact iPad with an OLED screen, upgraded speakers that ditch traditional holes, water resistance, and a fresh chip—likely the “A19 Pro” or “A20 Pro”—matching what lands in the latest iPhones. These changes aim to bring the iPad mini more in line with Apple’s premium lineup.
Macs on the horizon: First, a revamped iMac is said to arrive with Apple’s new M6 chip and several fresh color options. A base model 14-inch MacBook Pro is also expected with the M6 inside. The big redesign, however, is for the MacBook Pro—or perhaps a renamed “MacBook Ultra”—boasting OLED display, touch input, a Dynamic Island, thinner profile, and possibly new chip lines like M5 Pro/Max or even the high-end M5 Ultra. That one might slip into early 2027.
New home devices: Apple’s set to refresh its living room and smart home game. Look for a new Apple TV featuring a chip upgrade (A17 Pro or newer), 8GB RAM for AI workloads, Wi-Fi 7 support via a custom N1 chip, upgraded Siri and a better remote. The HomePod mini will get similar hardware boosts plus a second-generation ultra wideband chip and possibly new colors. Then there’s a brand-new “Home Hub” device—a 6- to 7-inch square-screen smart home controller with an A18 (or newer) chip built for Apple Intelligence, FaceTime, widgets, and available both tabletop- and wall-mount styles.
Audio gear: Rounding out the list are the Beats 360 over-ear headphones. These will resemble the AirPods Max in design, but with interchangeable parts, improved noise cancellation (up to 1.75× better than Beats Studio Pro), an IPX4 rating, and likely the soonest announcement—possibly as early as late September.
Timing & Certainty Levels
Some of these products—such as the Beats 360—look set for launch before month’s end. Others, especially the MacBook Ultra with a full OLED display overhaul, might debut just after the new year. Not all the rumors carry equal weight: certain Apple KGI leakers point to strong confidence in the iPad mini and home hub, while the MacBook Ultra design tweaks are treated as more speculative.
Also worth noting: while updates like Siri AI, upgraded chips, and Wi-Fi 7 are recurring themes, many of the new devices are expected to carry over existing design elements—think sleek Apple TV and HomePod mini shells, with advancements mainly under the hood.
Altogether, these eight rumoured additions illustrate Apple’s strategy: keep the momentum going even after high-profile announcements, nudging its product mix toward smarter home integrations, AI enhancements, and display innovations.
