Apple Releases watchOS 27 Beta 2 to Developers

Apple has released the second developer beta of watchOS 27, following the initial beta earlier this month. This update is accessible through the Watch app on iPhones running iOS 27.

Notably, the beta is currently unavailable for Apple Watch Ultra 3 models, though it remains accessible for other supported devices.

One of the anticipated features of watchOS 27 is the integration of Siri AI, aiming to provide a consistent and personalized experience across all Apple devices. However, this functionality was absent in the first beta, and it’s yet to be confirmed if it’s included in this latest release.

Apple has emphasized the importance of a unified Siri experience, ensuring that interactions are seamless whether on an iPhone or Apple Watch. The company stated, “We really wanted to make sure the Siri experience is a singular and consistent experience, whether I decide to ask Siri on my wrist a question, or whether I have my phone in my hand and I decide to interact with Siri there. We really wanted to feel like it’s one Siri, that has access to your data and is able to personalise it in a consistent way.”

Developers are encouraged to explore this beta to test app compatibility and provide feedback. As with all beta software, it’s advisable to install it on secondary devices to avoid potential disruptions.

As Apple continues to refine watchOS 27, the inclusion of Siri AI will be a significant enhancement, aligning the Apple Watch more closely with the broader Apple ecosystem. Users should stay tuned for future updates to experience these advancements firsthand.
