Apple has introduced ‘Apple Upgrade,’ a new leasing program in the United States that allows customers to lease a variety of Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. This program replaces the previous iPhone Upgrade Program and iPhone Payments, offering more flexible financing options.
Under ‘Apple Upgrade,’ customers can choose lease terms of 12 or 24 months for iPhones and Apple Watches, and 24 or 36 months for iPads and Macs. At the end of the lease period, participants have the option to return the device, initiate a new lease, or purchase the device outright by paying the remaining balance between the total lease payments made and the original retail price.
In addition to the launch of ‘Apple Upgrade,’ Apple has released iOS 26.6 and iPadOS 26.6. These updates are expected to be among the final versions before the anticipated release of iOS 27 in September.
Furthermore, there are reports suggesting that Apple is developing a new home hub device, along with updated models of the Apple TV and HomePod mini. These developments indicate Apple’s ongoing efforts to enhance its smart home ecosystem.
Apple’s introduction of the ‘Apple Upgrade’ program reflects a strategic move to provide customers with more flexible and accessible options for acquiring its products. This approach not only caters to varying financial preferences but also encourages users to stay updated with the latest Apple technology. As the tech industry continues to evolve, such initiatives may become increasingly common, offering consumers more adaptable ways to engage with new devices.
