Apple has announced that its Friday Night Baseball doubleheaders will now be available in 3D for Vision Pro users through the Apple Immersive format. This enhancement allows viewers to experience live Major League Baseball games with an 8K resolution and a 180-degree field of view, providing a more immersive viewing experience.
The inaugural 3D broadcast is scheduled for Friday, August 28, featuring a matchup between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. Vision Pro users in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the U.K., and the U.S. can access these games live via the Apple TV app, provided they have an active Apple TV subscription.
During the broadcasts, viewers will benefit from on-screen team lineups and statistics, as well as a stadium view accompanied by Spatial Audio during breaks in play. Additionally, full game replays and highlights will be available on demand through the Apple TV app on the Vision Pro.
