Amazon Offers Discounts on AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12, Ultra 4 Before Launch

Apple’s newest gear—the AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12, and Apple Watch Ultra 4—is now up on Amazon for pre-order ahead of their official release on September 18, with early buyers already scoring modest discounts.

What’s on Sale

The AirPods 5 start at $125 via Amazon (down from the regular $129 price), while the model with a wireless charging case is now priced at $149. These earbuds bring Active Noise Cancellation—something the previous generation lacked. The base version drops features like on-stem volume controls and the wireless charging case, but the premium one gains an extra hour of battery life.

The Apple Watch Series 12 is available in several configurations with slight markdowns. The GPS-only standard model is $390 (vs. $399), and other variants—including larger size, Cellular connectivity, Titanium, and Ceramic finishes—are likewise discounted by $10–$20 off their normal retail rates.

The Ultra 4 lineup starts at $780 for the standard Black case edition (normally $799), and the Natural finish follows closely at $779. These pre-order prices surface well before the September 18 shipping date.

New Features & Bands

Series 12 and Ultra 4 watches introduce Apple’s updated Health Sensing System, which promises higher-frequency heart rate and HRV measurements, feeding into a new readiness metric. On the audio side, the watches get “Live Rewind” and “Siri Recap” features under the banner of Audio Intelligence.

Amazon is also listing new bands for the Apple Watch: a Trail Loop (in Sand, Dark Umber, Burgundy), an Ocean Band (Translucent Kelp, Gray, Black), and an Alpine Loop (Desert, Dark Olive, Burgundy). Each is priced at $99.

Release day for these devices is September 18, when pre-orders will begin shipping. Amazon’s advantage right now is that buyers can secure a small discount by reserving early before launch.

These pre-orders and deals suggest Apple is leaning toward smoother launches with less wait—or at least giving its usual retailers room to offer mild incentives early. For consumers, it pays to monitor pricing closely in the lead-up to full availability. Even small savings now may be all the benefit Amazon allows before launch day.
