AAWireless, better known for making wireless Android Auto adapters, is branching out. The company’s latest product is “AAWireless Charge,” a 25W Qi2 wireless car charger with active cooling. It marks the brand’s first foray beyond adapters, aiming to meet demand for reliable, magnetically aligned wireless charging in vehicles. Continued reliance on its well-known adapters suggests this product is complementary rather than a replacement.
The Charge uses the Qi2 standard, which aligns with MagSafe, Pixelsnap, and Qi2-ready devices, providing up to 25 watts of wireless power. To keep temperatures down during charging sessions, it includes a built-in fan that’s described as “quiet.” These features are relevant as wireless charging in cars often struggles with heat and misalignment.
Mounting Options & Accessories
Inside the box, users will find both an air vent mount and an adhesive base, giving flexibility in how they install the charger. Two magnetic ring adapters are included too—useful for phones that don’t already have integrated magnets or that lack a compatible magnetic case. For optimal performance, AAWireless recommends using your vehicle’s 12V power outlet with the adapter they provide. USB-C delivery is possible but only if the output is strong enough.
How It Fits Into Their Product Line
This charger doesn’t replace the company’s Android Auto adapters—there’s no wireless Auto adapter built into the new unit. That said, the company notes it’s compatible with their existing adapter, so users who already own one can use both in tandem. While the adapters are still available—through Amazon—the Charge is being sold exclusively via AAWireless’s official website. It’s priced at $50.
This product comes at a time when vehicle integration and wireless convenience matter more than ever. As car makers begin embracing wireless connectivity across infotainment systems, accessories that reduce cable clutter and simplify power delivery are becoming essential.
What This Means: Why It Matters
Wireless charging in cars has often been frustrating—misaligned coils, heat throttling, poor cable routing. The Charge’s active cooling and magnetic alignment features address two of the biggest pain points. For users already invested in the Android Auto ecosystem, having a standalone Qi2 solution means more flexibility whether commuting, ride-sharing, or road-tripping.
