Apple Arcade is kicking off October with five fresh titles added to its subscription catalog, led by the charmingly cozy “Pusheen’s Place,” the first officially licensed title featuring Pusheen the Cat. All five games arrive simultaneously on October 1, 2026 with no extra cost beyond the Arcade fee.
What’s New
Here’s what players will get when the new batch lands:
- Pusheen’s Place – Build relaxing spaces and design fun rooms while collecting over 100 versions of Pusheen and enjoying mini-games like Snack Stack, Parfait Pop, and Batch Match. Features characters such as Pusheenicorn and Pancake Pusheen.
- River City Survivors – An action-packed “zombie wave” game from the iconic River City series. Play as franchise staples Kunio and Riki, or one of over 20 characters, with support for up to two companions.
- Terraria+ – The sandbox action adventure gains the “Bigger & Boulder” 1.4.5 update, bringing new crossover content from Dead Cells and pals from Palworld. Multiplayer supports up to seven players via Game Center or local Wi-Fi.
- Touchgrind BMX 2+ – A physics-based stunt BMX game with two-finger controls designed to capture realistic trick mechanics.
- 4 Pics 1 Word+ – The Arcade version of the popular puzzle game that has already challenged more than 400 million users with its word-guessing mechanics.
Service Snapshot & Bigger Picture
Apple Arcade now offers access to more than 200 games across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro, with content free of ads or in-app purchases. The subscription in the U.S. costs $6.99/month, including a one-month free trial. Those buying new Apple hardware also get three months of Arcade at no extra charge.
Arcade is available individually or bundled through Apple One plans. The service is part of all tiers—Individual, Family, Premier—with corresponding pricing for each plan. Players can get free builds by subscribing via the App Store or accessing through the Apple Games app.
Where Cozy Meets Chaos
“Pusheen’s Place” expands the cozy side of Apple Arcade, joining titles like Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom, and Cozy Caravan—games centered around comfort, creativity, and gentle gameplay. On the flip side, offerings like “River City Survivors” and “Terraria+” lean into action and community, showing Arcade’s range from laid-back to adrenaline-fueled experiences.
Apple’s additions reflect a strategy of diversifying Arcade’s library—mixing chill simulation, nostalgic franchises, puzzle challenges, and multiplayer mayhem. October’s releases show Apple’s intent to retain subscribers not just through novelty, but by covering the full spectrum of gaming moods.
