Apple has officially scheduled a product-packed event for Wednesday, September 9 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. It’s widely expected that six new devices will be revealed—some incremental upgrades and potentially one groundbreaking first from the company. Here’s what to keep an eye on.
What’s Likely Debuting
iPhone 18 Pro is rumored to bring significant updates under the hood. It may feature an A20 Pro chip, a more compact Dynamic Island, a redesigned Camera Control button, a Dark Cherry color option, and possibly other refinements that build on the current generation. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to match many of those updates while packing a larger battery and a variable aperture camera—a spec exclusive to the Pro Max model this time around.
The biggest new arrival could be the iPhone Ultra, Apple’s rumored foldable phone. If leaks prove accurate, it will offer a 7.7-inch inner display, a 5.3-inch screen on the outside, two cameras on the back, one front camera, and a Touch ID sensor in the power button instead of Face ID. iOS 27 is likely to include special tweaks for this model, especially around multitasking and layout support similar to iPad behavior.
On the wearable front, we’re looking at two new performances. The Apple Watch Series 12 might arrive with a faster chip (likely dubbed S11 or newer), extended battery life, improved fitness tracking, and an option for a ceramic case. Finally, AirPods 5 are expected, coming in two versions: one with active noise cancellation (ANC) and another without. These are likely incremental upgrades but mark the continuation of Apple’s strategy to segment its audio offerings based on features like ANC.

Beyond the six marquee announcements, several other products might surface—either at this event or later in the fall:
- An iPad mini refresh, possibly with the A19 Pro or A20 Pro chip, OLED screen, a vibration speaker solution, and water resistance.
- An updated iMac possibly featuring the next-generation M6 chip and new color options.
- A new base model of the 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by M6, as well as a radical redesign of Apple’s MacBook line called the MacBook Ultra—rumored to include OLED panels, Dynamic Island, touch screen elements, and slimmer profiles.
- Home accessories and smart devices: A refreshed Apple TV with enhanced chip, more RAM for “Apple Intelligence,” Siri AI features, possibly Wi-Fi 7 support, plus a new remote; a reimagined HomePod mini with better sound, new internals, and possibly new colors; and a dedicated Home Hub device with a 6-7-inch screen, A18 chip, built-in FaceTime, and both tabletop and wall-mount versions.
These “other possibilities” aren’t confirmed for the September event—they may roll out in October or later depending on Apple’s product calendar.
What this means: The September 9 event looks set to combine evolutionary improvements with one revolutionary entry. The iPhone Ultra, if real, could mark Apple’s first earnest dive into foldables. The Watch models and AirPods 5 suggest continued polish rather than reinvention. For users holding off on earlier devices, the upgrades in chip performance, battery life, and even design tweaks could justify waiting.
