Apple is opening its first Education Center in Vietnam, located in Hanoi, to offer training and skills development to its supply chain workforce. Launching this fall in collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), the center aims to enhance both technical and soft skills among supplier employees.
What the Center Offers
The program will use a hybrid learning model combining online and face-to-face instruction. Key technical topics will include manufacturing processes, robotics, and automation technologies. In addition to technical training, the curriculum will cover leadership and interpersonal skills, helping workers either advance in their current roles or transition into new career paths.
Backing from Apple’s Supplier Employee Development Fund
This Hanoi facility is part of a broader initiative funded by Apple’s $50 million Supplier Employee Development Fund, which the company launched in 2022. So far, the fund has delivered over 9 million training sessions globally and has reached more than 108,000 supplier employees through Swift programming classes since 2017. Beyond technical education, Apple has also invested in programs focused on health, fitness, mental well-being, disease screening, and workers’ rights.
These educational efforts build on Apple’s existing programs in Vietnam, where nearly 20 supplier-focused training initiatives are already operational. The new center is the first physical Apple Education Center in the country, marking a deepening of Apple’s long-term investment in its regional supply chain workforce.
Apple expects courses at the Hanoi center to commence this fall. As Vietnam plays a growing role in Apple’s manufacturing footprint, the Education Center represents a strategic move to upskill the workforce and ensure supplier operations meet rising standards in technology and quality.
