Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra appears to maintain a design nearly identical to its predecessor, the Tab S11 Ultra. Recent leaks reveal that the new model retains the 14.6-inch display, slim bezels, metal construction, teardrop notch for the front camera, and dual rear cameras, mirroring the previous generation.
Historically, Samsung’s Ultra tablet series has seen minimal design changes. The Tab S11 Ultra introduced a smaller display notch and relocated the S Pen charging area to the frame, but overall aesthetics have remained consistent since the Tab S8 Ultra.
While the exterior may be familiar, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to feature internal enhancements. Anticipated upgrades include a new chipset and the latest Android 17 operating system. These improvements could offer better performance and software capabilities, even if the physical design remains unchanged.
Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S12 series is slated for release in the latter half of 2026. This announcement aligns with the company’s strategy to refresh its tablet lineup within an 18-month cycle, following the Tab S11’s debut in September 2025.
