Google’s AI assistant, Gemini, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing one billion monthly active users. This rapid growth positions Gemini among Google’s fastest-growing products and marks it as the 14th service from the company to reach the billion-user threshold.
Since its launch, Gemini has been integrated across various Google platforms, including Search, Workspace, Android, and its standalone app. Notably, the AI Mode in Search has also garnered over one billion monthly active users globally. However, the current figure pertains specifically to the Gemini app, excluding users from other channels.
In recent developments, Google introduced the Gemini 3.5 Flash model, designed to enhance coding capabilities and support autonomous AI-agent tasks. Additionally, user engagement statistics reveal that 63% of Gemini users interact with the assistant via voice commands, and the platform now generates over 150 million images daily. The app’s reach extends beyond Google’s ecosystem, with more than 100 million active users on iOS devices.
This milestone follows Google’s Q2 2026 earnings report, which highlighted that Gemini had over 950 million monthly users, with daily active users tripling over the past year. The announcement also precedes the upcoming Made by Google event, where further Gemini-powered features are anticipated to be unveiled across Pixel devices.
