Apple is gearing up for its annual September event, where it is anticipated to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable iPhone. In preparation, the company has initiated an Event Support Experience Program lottery for U.S. retail employees interested in assisting at the in-person media gathering at Apple Park.
Selected employees will manage tasks such as organizing lines, checking in guests, providing directions, greeting attendees, and supporting security teams. While participants have been informed that the event will occur in the first half of September, a specific date has not been confirmed. Given that Labor Day falls on September 7 this year, the event is likely to be scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, or Wednesday, September 9.
Apple is expected to cover travel and lodging expenses for the chosen employees. However, those who participated in the Worldwide Developers Conference or the iPhone launch in 2025 are not eligible for this lottery. Employees can enter until August 8, with winners to be notified on August 17.
The upcoming event is particularly significant as it marks the introduction of Apple’s first foldable iPhone, a milestone in the company’s product lineup. This move aligns with Apple’s three-year plan to reinvent the iPhone, which began with the redesigned iPhone 17 Pro models and the iPhone Air in 2025. The foldable iPhone is the next step in this strategy, with a special 20th-anniversary iPhone planned for 2027.
As Apple continues to innovate and expand its product offerings, this event is poised to showcase the company’s commitment to pushing technological boundaries and meeting consumer demand for cutting-edge devices.
