Google Pixel 11 Series to Launch in August with Higher Prices and No 128GB Option

Recent leaks suggest that Google’s upcoming Pixel 11 series will see a price increase and the elimination of the 128GB storage option. The base model is expected to start at 256GB, with higher tiers offering 512GB and 1TB capacities. This shift aligns with a broader industry trend of rising tech product prices.

In Europe, the Pixel 11 configurations are anticipated to be priced approximately €100 higher than their predecessors. The projected pricing structure is as follows:

Model 256GB 512GB 1TB
Pixel 11 €999/£879 €1,129/£999 N/A
Pixel 11 Pro €1,199/£1,079 €1,329/£1,199 €1,589/£1,429
Pixel 11 Pro XL €1,399/£1,279 €1,529/£1,399 €1,789/£1,629
Pixel 11 Pro Fold €1,999/£1,799 €2,129/£1,919 €2,389/£2,149

Notably, the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro models are following the pricing pattern of the previous Pixel 10 Pro XL, with increases corresponding to the higher storage configurations. The 128GB versions of the earlier models were priced at €899 and €1,099, respectively. The Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold are each seeing a standard €100 price hike.

These adjustments are partly attributed to the ongoing “RAMageddon,” a term highlighting the rising costs of memory components, which are essential for AI-driven features. Google, being a significant player in AI development, is directly impacted by these market dynamics.

Additionally, the Pixel 11 series is expected to debut in a range of colors with the following options:

  • Pixel 11: Light Sterling, Midnight Haze, Fuchsia, Moss
  • Pixel 11 Pro: Light Fog, Midnight Haze, Dune, Pine
  • Pixel 11 Pro XL: Light Fog, Midnight Haze, Dune, Pine
  • Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Midnight Haze, Pine

The 1TB variants are reportedly available exclusively in “Midnight Haze,” the black color for this series. “Dune” is described as a pink hue.

The anticipated release timeline indicates a launch event around August 11, with the devices becoming available on August 20.

These developments reflect a strategic shift by Google to align with industry standards, offering higher base storage capacities while adjusting prices accordingly. Consumers should weigh these changes against their storage needs and budget considerations when evaluating the new Pixel 11 lineup.
