Microsoft has introduced the latest iterations of its Surface Laptop and Surface Pro, both now powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 processors. These devices are available starting today, with the Surface Pro priced from $1,499 and the Surface Laptop from $1,599.

The new Surface Pro maintains its familiar design and is offered in Platinum, Black, and Dune color options. It features a Flex keyboard and boasts up to 15.5 hours of battery life. Performance enhancements are notable, with Microsoft reporting a 53% improvement in graphics capabilities compared to previous models.

The Surface Laptop also retains its established design but introduces a new Jade green color alongside the existing Platinum, Black, and Dune options. Available in 13.8-inch and 15-inch LCD display sizes, the smaller model offers up to 20 hours of battery life. The integration of Snapdragon X2 processors delivers significant performance boosts. Additionally, the laptop’s trackpad has been upgraded to provide subtle haptic feedback across Windows and various applications. Microsoft highlights that Affinity software will come pre-installed on both the new Surface Laptop and Surface Pro.

Both devices are constructed using 100% recycled aluminum, underscoring Microsoft’s commitment to sustainability. To support device longevity, Microsoft has introduced the Surface Repair Tool, which conducts tests on components such as the battery, display, and camera, and provides guided repair instructions for parts like the battery, display, touchpad, or motherboard.

These updates reflect Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to enhance the performance and user experience of its Surface lineup. The adoption of Snapdragon X2 processors signifies a substantial leap in processing power and efficiency, positioning these devices as strong contenders in the premium laptop and tablet market. Consumers can anticipate improved performance, extended battery life, and a more responsive user interface, making the new Surface Laptop and Surface Pro compelling options for both personal and professional use.
