Apple Sports App Adds CarPlay Widgets, Boosts F1 Tracking Features

Apple Sports App Integrates CarPlay Widgets and Enhances F1 Features

Apple has recently updated its Sports app to version 3.10, introducing CarPlay integration and enhanced Formula 1 (F1) tracking capabilities. This update allows users to access sports information directly through their vehicle’s infotainment system, providing a more seamless and interactive experience.

CarPlay Integration:
The latest update introduces two new widgets compatible with CarPlay: My Teams and Leagues. These widgets offer users real-time updates and information about their favorite sports teams and leagues directly on their vehicle’s display.

– My Teams Widget: Displays scores and schedules for teams marked as favorites within the Apple Sports app.

– Leagues Widget: Provides information on various sports leagues, with customization options to select specific leagues of interest.

Setting Up CarPlay Widgets:
To configure these widgets:

1. Ensure the Apple Sports app is updated to version 3.10.

2. On your iPhone, navigate to Settings > General > CarPlay > [Your Car] > Widgets.

3. Add the desired Apple Sports widgets to your CarPlay interface.

The My Teams widget reflects teams you’ve favorited in the app, while the Leagues widget can be customized by tapping the i icon to select preferred leagues. Depending on your vehicle’s display capabilities, CarPlay can showcase up to three widget stacks. Enabling the Smart Display Zoom feature under the Display section in CarPlay settings may allow for additional widget stacks.

Enhanced F1 Tracking Features:
Formula 1 enthusiasts will appreciate the new tracking features introduced in this update. Users can now access real-time weather conditions for each Grand Prix, including track temperature and wind speed, providing a more immersive race-day experience.

World Cup 2026 Tracking:
In anticipation of the 2026 World Cup, the Apple Sports app now allows users to follow their favorite teams and explore group information ahead of the tournament’s kickoff in June.

Availability:
The Apple Sports app is available for free on the App Store. This update underscores Apple’s commitment to enhancing user experience by integrating sports information seamlessly into daily routines, whether at home or on the go.
